The untamed beauty of the beaches of the Opal Coast and the gently rolling countryside of the Pas-de-Calais were a great inspiration to the Impressionist painters and this holiday you can follow in their footsteps. More experienced walkers have a selection of hiker’s trails to try, many of which hug the exciting coastline and include stretches of deserted sandy beach, marshland teeming with wildlife and cliff-tops that may cause your heart to skip a beat!
If it’s easy afternoon ambles you prefer, then there are plenty of walks in and around Desvres and the neighbouring sleepy villages of Menneville, Saint-Martin Choquel and Samer – just ask at reception and they’ll point you in the right direction or head to the local tourist office in Desvres for more information.
At Le Moulin we go out of way to make your stay as comfortable as possible. After your hike or ramble you will probably be ready to hang up your walking boots and relax.
You can draw yourself a lovely deep bath to soothe those aching feet. Afterwards, you can head to the terrace to take in views with a drink from the bar. You can finish off your day with a lovely, traditional French meal prepared by our chef, Eric.
At Le Moulin we have a wide range of rooms from which you can choose. We have spacious rooms on the ground floor with disabled access. If you want to bring your pet to stay then we have a room you can share with them too.
